We're Sorry To See You Go!
Thinking About Withdrawing?
We understand that schedules change, priorities shift, and sometimes families need to take a break. We hope your time at You Rock School of Music has been fun, rewarding, and full of growth.
Before submitting your withdrawal form, please review the information below to avoid any confusion about final tuition, show performances, or our summer schedule.
Important Things to Know Before Withdrawing
We Do Not Require a Long-Term Contract
You Rock School of Music does not require families to commit to a full semester or full school year. You may withdraw from lessons by following the policy below.
That said, our calendar is built around a preset schedule with built-in breaks throughout the year. Tuition is billed monthly as a flat rate, but the lesson calendar is planned across the full year.
Lessons Can Continue Through The Summer
Please note that our school year does not end in May; lessons continue in June. Summer Camp begins at the end of June, but private lessons and band rehearsals continue throughout the summer.
Summer is a great time to stay enrolled. Students can maintain momentum, build confidence, and keep progressing without the added pressure of school, homework, and fall activities.
Current Month Tuition Is Non-Refundable
Once a month begins, your teacher has already reserved that weekly lesson time for your student. Because that time is held specifically for your family, tuition for the current month is non-refundable and remains due whether or not your student attends the remaining lessons.
If you withdraw during the current month, your student will remain on the schedule through the end of that month, and billing will stop before the following month.
Withdrawal Policy
If you still wish to withdraw, here is how the process works:
Submit the withdrawal form by the 20th of your final month.
For example, to end lessons in June, please submit your withdrawal form by June 20th.Your selected final month is your last month of lessons and billing.
Your student will stay on the calendar through the end of that month. To withdraw as soon as possible, select the current month as your final month.
Your student will remain on the schedule through the end of the current month, and we will remove them from the schedule starting the following month.Tuition is not prorated or refunded once the month begins.
Your teacher’s time has already been reserved, and we are responsible for compensating them for that reserved time.Client make-up credits expire at the end of your final month of enrollment.
Studio credits will remain on the account.
Show Participation
Students must be actively enrolled in a band at You Rock School of Music to participate in a show. We have an adult and a kid/teen show in December, March, and June. Lessons are part of our regular schedule, and performing in a show is reserved for currently enrolled students.
For families involved in sports, we think of the show like the final game of the season. Students are expected to remain enrolled through the end of the season in order to participate in the final series ender!
If a student withdraws before the show, they will no longer be eligible to perform.
